One of our latest videos is live on Vimeo and wow was it a ton of fun to shoot and edit. It’s called “The Coach” and it is basically a water rules and regulations video for WORDCC (The Water Oriented Recreation District of Comal County), and you can check out their website at www.wordcc.com. You’ll never guess it by the look of the film, but it was ice cold the first day of filming (we shot it over two total days). In fact, for the shots up at Canyon Lake, most people had blankets on between takes! You might be asking why not just wait. Well the film needed to be wrapped by Spring Break and to make that happen meant we needed to pull a few Hollywood tricks. For example, the leaves weren’t yet out on the trees so we tried to shoot in such a way that you see lots of green and focus on the actors on camera. Speaking of actors, and we had a great cast and crew who braved the elements to put together a fun lil’ motion picture- awesome people to work with. I also can’t say enough good things about our client, WORDCC. They let our crew at Iniosante really be creative, which we love! Hope you enjoy watching the short film as much as we loved producing it, here is a link to “The Coach” video… https://vimeo.com/38256294

Filmed on the Panasonic GH2 + 25mm f/0.95 Voigtlander, Zeiss 50mm f/1.4, Zeiss 85mm f/1.4, & Olympus 12mm f/2.0. Audio was captured with Sennheiser Wireless lavs, the Tascam Dr100, Rode Videomic Pro. Support provided by a Manfrotto monopod and a Miller DS20 tripod. Cameras & lenses were carried in Kata backpacks and the rest of grip equipment was transported in Pelican wheeled hard cases. Also used were the Glidecam HD2000, Kessler Crane, & Philip Bloom Dolly. Edited in FCP & transcoded to AppleTV for the web.

Iniosante.com has a brand new look this month thanks to the talented designers over at Ammo Advertising. This site overhaul took several months and were in still in the process of updating a few sections (we’ve been working non-stop since January on new motion picture projects) but we’re excited about where we are headed.

A few weeks ago we were approached by Ammo to shoot & edit a 60 second commercial with Baseball Hall-of-Fame Pitcher, and my childhood hero, Nolan Ryan. Needless to say Iniosante jumped at the opportunity to work on such an awesome piece. We wrangled our AD Matt Chase and enlisted Script Supervisor Hillary Foytik to get the preproduction rolling. There were a few tense moments the night before as we worked to get all the ducks in a row but on the big day Mr Ryan arrived and everything went off without a hitch. The man who played the Catcher in the short film is Cory Foytik and the commercial also starred Tracey Norris, Johnny Castillo, & Peyton Kempf, among others. The whole project wouldn’t have been possible without the hard-working Executive Producer, Judy Young- who actually jumped in the river and waded across to clear the background for one of our shots as golfers kept getting in the frame. Nolan Ryan was a ball to work with and we casually joked between takes. We shot it on a Thursday and had it turned around and out the door the following Tuesday- even Ryan’s camp was blown away with the speed and professionalism with which Iniosante worked on the commercial.

All in all it was an awesome project and one of those memories I will personally cherish for a lifetime.

Here is a link to Ammo’s website where they chat it up in more details… http://www.ammoadvertising.com/

And here is a link to watch the commercial on Vimeo… https://vimeo.com/38808861
